Participant in VIII. IX, X, XI, XII, XIII National Antarctic Expeditions on Livingston Island (South Shetlands), summer station "St. Kliment Ochridski" Located Lat. 62° 38' 29''S and Long. 60° 21'53'' W During this expeditions scientific programmes, mainly connected with three projects were realized with self-dependent task connected with monitoring, population ecology and biology, ecotoxicology of Gentoo penguins (Pygoscelis papua):

Mount Mecheva (Bulgarian: връх Мечева, ‘Vrah Mecheva’ \'vr&h 'me-che-va\) is the broad ice-covered peak with precipitous rocky north, east and southwest slopes that is rising to 850 m in Bigla Ridge on Foyn Coast, Antarctic Peninsula. It surmounts Beaglehole Glacier to the southwest, Sleipnir Glacier to the northwest and Cabinet Inlet to the northeast.
The feature is named after Rumyana Mecheva, biologist at St. Kliment Ohridski Base in 1999/2000 and subsequent seasons.
